As a new age of music dawns upon us, many people are beginning to look away from the art of classical music, as the coming generation is exposed to newer music. It was the wish of Orchestra Director Anne Wilkinson, that bringing her students and the wind ensemble (conducted by Mrs. Witherell) to the children of Bar Harbor, intent on sparking their love and excitement for music.

Throughout history, music has followed us, bringing joy and sadness. For the musicians, it is a way to create beautiful auditory art. Through the ages, many different branches of this artistic musical tree have grown - Pop, RNB, Reggae, rap just to name a few. But one of the things that has managed to remain throughout the decades, since the beginning of the Baroque time period, classical music and the art of the orchestra.
